หม่อมราชวงศ์อดุลยกิติ์ กิติยากร เป็นผู้แทนพระองค์มาเปิดงาน ครั้งที่ 9 (วันที่ 26 เมษายน – 2 พฤษภาคม 2531) และปีนี้ได้เชิญราชยานยนต์สมาคม แห่งประเทศไทยในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ (ROYAL AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION OF THAILAND) เข้ามาร่วมงาน จำนวนบู๊ธสินค้าต่าง ๆ ที่รายล้อมอยู่โดยรอบเวทีใหม่ สวนอัมพรแน่นขนัดมากกว่าเดิม เป็นการช่วยตอกย้ำความสำเร็จของงานมอเตอร์โชว์ ครั้งนี้มีรถรุ่นใหม่อย่าง โฮลเด้น คาเล่ส์, นิสสัน แอทเทสซ่า, โตโยต้า เซลิก้า จีที-4 มาเปิดตัวในงาน ส่วน ฮอนด้า ค่ายรถเบอร์หนึ่งของญี่ปุ่น ได้นำเอารถสูตร 1 ที่ชนะเลิศการแข่งขันในปี 2530 มาโชว์ให้ชมกัน อีกมุมหนึ่งที่เรียกความสนใจจากแฟนได้เนืองแน่น ก็คือมุมของมอเตอร์ไซค์ ที่ต่างยกทีมความแรงมาประชันโฉมกันชนิดที่ไม่มีใครยอมใคร แต่ที่เป็นไฮไลท์ของงาน คือการนำหุ่นดินเหนียวปั้นจำลอง 1 ต่อ 4 Clay Model ซึ่งถือเป็นความลับสุดยอดของบริษัทรถยนต์ ก่อนที่จะนำไปเป็นรถต้นแบบมาให้ชมอีกด้วย

Mom Rajawongse Adulakit Kitiyakara, the representative of the Royal Family, presided at the opening ceremony of this year’s “Motor Show”. Grand Prix has successfully invited Royal Automobile Association of Thailand to join and display cars at the event.

With the massive success of Motor Show, many cars companies now choose our event to premier their latest cars including Holden Calais, Nissan Attesa, and Toyota Celica GT-4. Honda, the No. 1 brand in Japan brought their Formula 1 race winner to excite the fans. But all car makers must make way for this year’s highlight in the motorcycle zone: the Clay model (1:4 of the real proportion) from which they developed the prototype cars. This is considered one of the top secret but it was revealed at this very event.
